welcome to Warooka Progress Association
Warooka Progress Association Inc has been in operation since 1996-97. Entirely managed by volunteers with memberships from the community, this association gained Australian Charity and Not for Profit status in 2023.
WPA has worked tirelessly to create past events such as the Warooka Markets and the Flaherty’s Golf Classic whilst also caring for the town of Warooka. Currently (2026) WPA also maintains the Warooka Museum and hosts several annual community events such as the ANZAC Day Dawn Service; the Christmas Eve Pageant; and participating in Cleanup Australia Day. The Executive Group is also responsible for the Warooka Campground and the Visitor Information Outlet. WPA has sub committees with oversight of the Warooka Town Hall; the Warooka & Districts Museum; SYP Arts Development Committee; and a 150th Warooka District Celebration planned for October 2026.
Another recent role of Warooka Progress is collaborating with the local businesses and sports clubs, to keep Warooka active, relevant and inviting to those who live in the area and for those who travel through this beautiful landscape.
