Warooka Camping Ground
The Warooka Camping ground is managed by Warooka Progress volunteers maintaining a short-term camping ground for travellers who visit the Southern Yorke Peninsula. A maximum stay of 3 nights at a low cost of $10 per night with fees going towards ongoing maintenance. No bookings required.
Overview
The site is basic, unpowered, up to 20 un-marked sites including clean toilets with solar activated lights from dusk to dawn, potable water for drinking, a small shelter with solar light and a wheelchair friendly picnic table, a dump point for waste, rubbish bins and recycling containers for bottles & cans that have a 10c deposit.

Community Comfort
The town also includes a museum, library, primary school, local art & craft shop, accommodation and various volunteer services.
Travellers regularly confirm this camping ground provides a sense of safety, whilst completing day trips to enjoy the beautiful coastline, national park, friendly towns and quiet country spaces.

Peaceful Convenience
Located in a quiet space at the south-eastern end of Oval Avenue just past the Bowling Club. Positioned near the oval, sports club and playground with BBQ, a respite for travellers who are seeking proximity to services being only a short walk to Warooka’s information centre & op shop, mechanic & fuel, hotel, groceries, butcher, hardware, post office, plumber, chemist, hairdresser, recycling depot and freshly made coffee.
Conditions of Use
To ensure the camping ground remains enjoyable for everyone, visitors are asked to observe the following conditions:
1. Camping is available on a short-stay basis.
2. Sites are unpowered.
3. Campers must be self-sufficient.
4. Please respect quiet hours and other campers.
5. Fires are subject to local regulations and fire restrictions.
